"I was always looking outside myself for strength and confidence but it comes from within. It is there all the time."
- Anna Freud -
Recently, I like to read motivation books that inspires me through daily life. I think as I'm getting older I tend to realize the reality of life.
What I'm trying to say is that I need to be more serious in life. Mostly I'm trying to figure out what I want to do in life or finding my career. Hence this book helped me a lot. I know this book is about self-confidence but from my point of view, it's about having self-confidence in making decision of finding your own path. Trust me, I still don't know what I'm doing now.
I mean yes I'm still furthering my study, yes I have a part time job that pays me well and I love it but and then what? Marriage? Not so fast. Anyway, this is a very good book. The words and sentences are simple and easy to understand. The best part is, it provides simple tips yet they works. Let me share you some that I have tried.
Framed your achievements
Sometimes, you forget that you have done great things in life such as graduating from college, awards and many more. It reminds me that if I had done this before, I could do this again. It really boost up your confidence level.
Give yourself a good shave (face or legs)
It's another instant refresher and in addition when we know we are looking our best, we are naturally more confident.
Wash your car inside and out
If you don't think this applies to you, just remember when your space is clean and neat, you tend to enjoy the journey and feel good about yourself.
Organize your closet and get rid of anything that no longer fits
Throw out the old makes the room for the new. Same goes with your life. Buang yang keruh ambil yang jernih.
Cook a lovely meal
Who doesn't love food? Sharing it with someone you love or respect will make it even more nurturing.
Gracias!
