Halloween Night

On 31st October 2015 we had our 8th Anniversary of the company and my new workplace. That shall explain why I didn't update much on the blog which is such a shame. I was a newbie for about two weeks but I was invited for the dinner and everyone needed to do performances. The best of all I was honored to do it solo! (great...just great *sigh)

The occasion took place in Shangri-La Hotel at Jalan Sultan Ismail. We gathered there around 8pm. The decorations were simple yet pretty. Besides, it was a small and private party dinner.

Gift sections for lucky draws, awards and for the VIPs.

Dinner table layout.

Noticed this beautiful and fresh roses on the table. I thought they were fake but they were real flowers!

I was offered wine but I don't drink and left it nicely on the table but that fruit punch drink was so tasty! It was mixed fruits juice with watermelons and else (which I couldn't quiet figure lol).

We were served by eight coursing for our meals. So let's start.

1. Shangri-La Four Hot Dish Combination.
It was so delicious! Seafood & sushi are always a plus to me.

2. Braised Shredded Abalone with Seafood Broth
The soup was like most of Chinese soup which had plain and simple taste. However the seafood broth really makes the difference as it tasted just nice! I can have this whole day for like a year of raining days or for sick days.

3. Miso Glazed Cod Fish.
I have to say this was the best meal of all. It was perfect. The flesh was soft and tender. The sauce was great and top up the excellent combination!

4. Buttered Prawns.
This dish was yummy but I had tasted better buttered prawn so I think this was just an average.

5. Lamb Chop with Garlic Mash Potatoes.
The meat were soft and tender. I don't like veggies but they were softly steamed cook and I just had to taste them and yes, no regret at all. Yums! Too bad I don't eat lamb meat so I just took a bite or two and later asked for the next course. But for all lamb chop lovers this course was really good!

6. Poached Broccoli with Black Mushrooms, Dried Scallop
This was so me in one dish. They put all my favorites in one dish! I love love mushrooms because they taste like chicken meet to me. And broccoli? Perfecto mi amor!

7. Fried Rice with Assorted Vegetables and Shredded Barbecue Chicken.
The name is a hell long but it looked just normal fried rice to me. It was nicely cooked and you can tasted the veggies were very fresh. But I had tasted better so this one is slightly above average.

There was no pictures of the next coursing because of full memory T-T.

8. Deep-fried Sesame Dumpling.
This one was just okay but it was too oily for me.

And for the cordial punch I just had tea and a piece of cake.

I love how lighting can change the mood. Made it more romantic.

I did sang a song for my solo performance. It was bad and I was damn nervous on that stage. Not because I was a stage freak but because I wasn't good at singing T.T. Anyway, I had so much fun and really enjoyed the night though it ended almost 3am.

Parking rate was RM12 before midnight. Since we finished at 3am we got a stamp which prove we only had to pay for the flat rate. Or else it probably could reached up to RM30++.

A night wasn't complete without a selfie. So here is our group selfie to call it a night!

Iftar Part Two

It was one week before first Syawal . So this time we went to Impian Morib to break our fast before everyone were starting to busy themselves with Aidilfitri decorations. Me and my boyfriend went a bit late as we went with different car. So when I reached there , his family were already gathering and waiting for breaking time.

Since we were like twelve people all together , we had to sit on different table. The place was nice with minimum decorations. And the place was less crowded compared to the last one , might be some like to berbuka puasa with their families on their last week of fasting.

A little details on the table while we were waiting for food.

Since it was a buffet so it was self-serviced .We were served Masakan Melayu for our iftar. I was a bit confused which one should I picked first because it got so many choices and tasty!

My favourite part of the meal was Roti Goreng with sauce . It was so yummy but too bad I was fulled and could only finished two three slices only.

The stuffs were very nice to us when we asked for less sugar drink since the one they had served was too sweet for us. Thank you for having me once again for iftar with your family. I had a good time and most importantly my tummy was so happy about it.

p/s : I will be pursuing my study soon so I was a bit excited for it. Plus I can't wait to meet my new classmates and coursemates!

Thank you for reading. Till we meet again in the next post. Bye !

Iftar Part One

Hey guys! Sorry for taking such a long time to write another post. No I'm not totally busy. I was just not in the mood to start writing. As I'm typing this I'm babysitting my brother because of some problems. Anyway , I've decided to post about my fasting month which was two month ago. My boyfriend decided to break our fast at Hotel Concorde KLIA. So we reached there about 7.15pm and checked in for reservation.

The best part of this entry is the food! Oh my gosh ! The food there was so delicious! Might be because I was so hungry but trust me the food was amazing lol.

It got varieties of food. From Masakan Melayu to western and Japanese.Of course I would had rice first before indulged in other food.

This is one of his twin sister and his grandma waiting for our break fast time. The place was not too crowded and everyone was having great time with their families and friends.

After I had done with my first meal , I went for dessert and decided to choose this oreo cake instead of strawberry one. I was glad I had made a right choice because I don't fancy cakes or cupcakes because they are too sweet for me but this one was just nice! I love it. Not too sweet and delicious too.

Later , I wanted to eat sushi and satay but too bad I was so full. I only managed to eat mushroom soup and some fruits. After we had done and performed our prayer we went home and I was coughing and my throat felt so itchy. Might be due to the water served there. But everything went good . So thank you for having me to break our fast together and I really enjoyed it there. Bye !

p/s : I only used my phone camera to capture those so sorry for low quality pictures!

Ulu Yam Part 3 ( Last part)

In case you haven't read about previous part so here's the link.

So the next day , we woke up early to play games before head home..To be honest I hate to wake up early. Plus we slept late before that. But YOLO  , so we just did it lol..some of us were setting up the games and the rest took the opportunity to nap.

We were getting ready for aerobic and for some dancing move like "poco-poco" which I'm suck at it. It's just very difficult for me to follow. It's weird because I had no problem with my aerobic class at the gym before.

My favourite part was when we were chasing and running around in order to blow up others balloon. It was so funny because what I did was screaming for help while running but no one came which was hopeless lol !

After that we took our late lunch and got ready to head home. We took last picture of us together which will always gonna be one of the best memories.

Thank you friends for being part of my life and for being such a good friends through ups and downs. Hope we'll achieved everything what we always want in life.
Thank you for reading. Till then ~

Ulu Yam Part 2

Hi guys! How's your day? I just came back home from Genting Highland. It was fun and calming. BUT I gotta pack my things up again tomorrow because I have to stay in hostel for like three days and next week for fitness and volleyball practice. I don't know why it's a must for us stay in hostel like my house is only minutes away la. BUT you know , man gotta do what man gotta do (bhaaha ). Luckily , I still can spend my weekend at home or at grandma's. So it isn't that bad. Hopefully.

So let's continue with the Ulu Yam camping part. The next day , after we had breakfast , which took us , girls hours to cook due to some circumstances , we were ready for jungle trekking. I was a bit afraid , well not that afraid because the last time I did this was five-six years ago. I didn't think I still had the stamina for this but it was fine. I was being too much like always LOL. It took only around 45 minutes for us to finish it.

We were reciting a prayer for a safe jungle trekking.

The first obstacle only took like 10 minutes after the journey and I was so excited for this. I was the first girl to do it because well , I was at the front. No big deal lol..hahah

The next one was , we had to walk on the rope like the picture below. I don't know what it's called so yeah. I always love height. Even the black shirt guy couldn't scares me enough lor..hahah

We had four check-point for us to go through. The last check-point required us to "berpantun". This was bad for me because my BM is not that good. So I just waving the 'white flag' without even trying. T-T

Later we reached at our room. Took minutes of rest and got ready to prepare lunch. It was exhausting but it was fun because we had no rush. When the night came , we were preparing for BBQ and it was for the boys part to do it.

I love love the night scene with friends and the fire and food. You know what I mean right? hahah

BBQ in the progress or on the way

We were chatting and singing while waiting for the BBQ. Well , I wasn't singing actually. I was like "shu bidu bidu" all the time -.-'

Sorry for the blurry picture. My camera was drunk.

And the dinner was served! Yeay ! It was delicious!.

After we had eaten , we played some games which ended up at around 4am. Very exhausting but it was fun and that's the most important right?? Alright I'll continue the third part soon. Thank you for reading. I better get myself ready for weeks of torture ahead. BYE!

Ulu Yam Part 1

Hello everyone! As I'm writing this post I'm watching James Bond The Skyfall. Don't get me wrong , I'm just a big fan of Danial Craig and his blue eyes. So about last week I went camping with my friends. We did took a long time I guess to plan this trip because everyone was busy with classes , exams and many other stuffs. However , it was a short fun gateway. This was my first time to Ulu Yam but I heard a lots of scary stories about that place before I went there. So I told myself I need to be mentally and physically ready. Maybe I was just being to much as the place was not that scary from what I heard. We took off on Monday at about 2pm. So here was what I brought for camping.

I tried my best not to bring too much stuffs , well you know being a girl is very hard when it comes to packing haha ..but I think I did well because I only brought what I need.

Before we went straight to the camping site , we dropped by to a supermarket to get things , mostly food supply for our camping. It did took us more than an hour. To be honest I hate that moment because they discussed about what they should got in order to cut the cost. I just stood there and only got one or two things to help. Because I don't cook at home and we , family don't cook much at home. So don't judge ! And then we finally reached at our destination. Yeay! The place was different from what I thought which meant was a good thing.

One of the chalets there .

First thing to do when we reached there was to check in , so it was our sort of leader's job for that while I  looked around with my other friends. The place was nice and calming. Far away from hustle and bustle of the city.

Just like what I've mentioned earlier , I looked around while others were doing "check-in". This was my first camping after six years and I was so excited for this one.

A nice view of the river which is behind our chalet.

Honestly , I never thought it was going to be a comfortable place for me. Because you know , chalets rarely had those things . But to my suprise , it was very comfortable , even though it only had 4 beds because we're five , all of them. And I was very happy  ^-^  because everything was beyond my expectations.

The bathroom was very clean and nice and it got small kitchen behind facing to a river. So it made our cooking easier because we don't have to go a cooking place .

I think that's all for the part one. I'll write as soon as possible for the second part. Thank you for reading this entry. Bye =)
